| Railey Beach is not far from Ao Nang but is only accessible by boat. The ferry from Phi Phi dropped us off at East Railey and we made our way across the peninsula to Sand Sea resort. Again our bungalow was very nice (though much cheaper here). By comparison to Phi Phi, Railey Beach is a scene of constant activity. There's much more of a backpacker scene and the place is a major centre for climbers. We explored the area and were inspired enough to hire a sea canoe and go for a lengthy paddle, I got out my kite one night. Martin came down and met us for a couple of days which was excellent too.
