On the wedding night we stayed in "The Apartment" at Groucho St Judes hotel in Glasgow, which was excellent.

The following day we set off for Thailand. KLM were good enough to upgrade us to Business Class for the flight so we enjoyed the exec lounge at Amsterdam and had loads of space on the plane.

We had just one night in Bangkok, at the Shangri La Hotel, claimed to be one of the 25 best hotels in the world. We didn't think so - though it was nice, and they did serve up a great margarita. 

We were getting picked up at 5am the following day so although we went out for a wee explore we missed out on the bright (red) lights of Pat Pong and enjoyed a few Singhas by the river instead.
